Throughout those nine years, Leslie also traveled extensively, photographing and painting other continents and she continued painting eight hours a day before work and after work. In 1998, she traveled from Nice, France, to Florence, Italy, painting along the Riviera, and then traveled by Vespa Moped from Florence to Rome, painting and photographing in Tuscany. The ensuing series from that and other Italy trips became known as "On The Road to San Gimignano: The Moped Series." In 2000, Leslie left her position at The Philadelphia Museum of Art in order to paint full time and to do freelance photographic work in Italy, France, South Africa and The United States for publishing companies. She also joined the Adjunct Fine Art Faculty of The Wayne Art Center, in Wayne, PA and later, the Faculty at Cabrini College, in Radnor, PA and has served on many Regional Art Center, College and University Jurying Committees.

In 2003-2004, Leslie briefly returned to corporate art advising with Art4business, Inc., in Philadelphia, building and managing corporate assets in the fine arts as a Senior Project Manager and Business Developer. In 2004, Leslie started her own company, Leslie Ehrin Fine Art, which publishes and promotes her own fine art imagery in limited edition giclee prints as well as photographic and painting work by The Ehrin Family.

Having grown up in Pennsylvania, the rolling hills of Tuscany are a natural métier for Leslie to paint. Many have commented that " some artist's paint Italy the way it looks, but Leslie paints the Italian Landscape the way it feels." Leslie had a One Woman Exhibition at Cabrini College in Oct-Nov.2002 and at The Episcopal Academy during Sept. 2004. She regularly exhibits in galleries, juried shows and art festivals from Nantucket to Naples, Florida. Victoria Donahue, the Arts Editor for THE PHILDELPHIA INQUIRER reviewed Leslie's work in an exhibit in Haverford, PA during August 2004 stating, "Leslie Ehrin has a lot of clout with her verdant vistas of Italian Landscapes." Leslie and her Siamese cat, Sammy, live and work in a stone cottage as studio and residence in Villanova, PA, which is set amidst lovely rural landscapes on an Estate property which served as the inspiration for the movies, High Society and The Philadelphia Story.
